We often get asked the question, "Do you provide email lists?" and the answer is no. Several email service providers do provide data but for our customers, that entrust their data to our platform, they are further reassured by our commitment to respect the integrity and privacy of this data.

There is an important distinction to be made between buying a list and renting a list. 'Buying' is a strict no-go zone for any reputable marketer seeking email addresses. The concept of 'renting' is particularly prevelant, especially in the B2B (business-to-business) arena, where companies are looking to generate leads.

Some email providers will not allow you to use rented lists inside their system due to the way their users have abused this priviledge in the past. For example, this is often the case for lower tier providers in the US. At Mailvivo, whilst we caution against solely using rented email data, we do believe it has its place inside a complete email marketing program operating at a professional level.
