Super Personalised, Super Relevant Campaigns
Cited internally as "cost efficient, easy to use, easy to learn with best practice identified", the Mailvivo solution is used by Technicolor for multilingual email newsletter delivery across different brands. Technicolor wanted to look at new ways to engage in a one-to-one conversation and break through the clutter of overcrowded recipient inboxes, in order to deliver their 'strategic partner' message.
Meeting that requirement head-on, Mailvivo initiated a new program of finely tuned messages whereby each dynamic content newsletter with a supporting microsite provided the framework into which relevant, customer specific content is inserted to match the objectives of each quarterly publication. By having a full view of customer activity and being able to relate that activity with the concept of 'email engagement', Technicolor have been able to test and validate new ideas in each newsletter.
Multi-Branded, Simple to Use, Creative Designs
The Fire Fighters Charity is an award-winning charity which provides assistance to serving and retired fire fighters, their widow/ers and young dependants through the provision of sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation, therapy and financial support. In coming to Mailvivo their main requirement was to raise money and awareness for the services they provide so people can contribute to the cause.
Mailvivo met the challenge by establishing a professional and effective email brand for the Fire Fighters Charity and developed a programme of regular emails, automatically segmented to help the charity communicate with its separate target audiences. The dynamic content template library enabled the charity to quickly and easily modify their message across differently branded areas.
Triggered Application Abandonment Emails
PayingTooMuch allows enquirers to compare prices online and request quotes across multiple categories including car and travel insurance. The requirement was to address the problem where online quotes were abandoned before all the relevant details beyond the email address had been entered. They needed a seamless shopping cart abandonment solution.
Mailvivo solved this problem by sending timely reminder messages that were triggered using the API. These messages were based on a dynamic content template with placeholders for relevant quote reminder information that also included a link to take the user back to their personal quote on the website. Where the conversion goal of requesting a quote was completed within 15 minutes, the reminder email was suppressed and instead a thank you message dynamically tailored to reflect the user's quote and cross-sell opportunities was delivered.
Viral Email Marketing at its Best
Since adopting the Mailvivo solution, REN has seen strong growth in online sales across their award winning skincare range driven through their email offers. The value of the email subscribers was obvious as was their loyalty in repurchasing products. REN wanted to support and accelerate this growth in online sales by running a number of innovative viral email competitions.
Mailvivo provided the solution whereby campaign recipients were able to enter the competition on recommending at least one friend, who were then also sent the competition details. Tangible results included a brand awareness rise of 15% in subscriber numbers, averaging 135 new ones daily, and although not the main focus, a return on investment of 1,655% was made from orders generated.
Targeted Council Regulatory Communications
North Yorkshire Trading Standards (NYTS) approached Mailvivo to help them deliver targeted information to businesses across North Yorkshire based on either their location, the nature of the business or both. The same concept was extended to deliver similarly targeted information to staff and citizens. The final phase involved rolling out the newsletter service across the regional authorities.
The solution implemented by Mailvivo gave NYTS readily adaptable email templates for presenting targeted information based on user preferences captured on opt-in. The system dynamically assembles fixed, common and targeted content to form the combined newsletter. On approval the system matches the subscriber's preferences and location with the articles, and automatically edits out content not required by an individual subscriber.
